SHAH ALAM, Sept 30 — A total of 466 jobseekers who participated in the Selangor Jobcare roadshow across five districts have successfully secured employment through the programme this year.
In a statement, the Selangor Workers Empowerment Unit (UPPS) said this is a reflection of the effectiveness of initiatives formulated by the state government in helping the people secure job placements more quickly and easily.
Following the success of the carnival in Hulu Langat, Petaling, Kuala Langat, Hulu Selangor and Gombak, UPPS said the state will continue the programme in the remaining four districts.
Klang will host the next programme on October 5, which will be held at Dewan Hamzah.
“The programme in Klang is expected to provide opportunities for more participants to secure employment, similar to the success achieved in other districts. We encourage the public to attend and take advantage of this opportunity,” it said today.
UPPS said on the day of the programme, companies from various industries will set up booths to showcase vacancies and that job interviews will be held throughout the day.
With the success achieved in other districts, the Selangor government hopes this programme will continue to have a positive impact on jobseekers and employers alike.
“Join the Selangor Jobcare carnival and make this opportunity your first step toward the career of your dreams.”
Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes and be prepared for immediate interviews.
A special counter providing guidance on how to improve resumes will also be available at the venue.
The Selangor Jobcare programme is the brainchild of state executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu and organised by UPPS in collaboration with Selangor Social Security Organisation.
