AMPANG, Aug 18 — Close to 5,000 job opportunities, including positions with salaries exceeding RM5,000, are on offer at the 2024 Selangor Jobcare Carnival for the Hulu Langat district.
State executive councillor for human resources and poverty eradication V. Papparaidu said the opportunities involve careers with over 30 companies from various fields, including manufacturing, services, and production, all operating within the state.
“This is a great opportunity as the jobs offered include professional careers including accountants and data analysts, as well as senior positions like managers.
“The salary offers are also high, and for those with experience and educational qualifications, it can exceed RM5,000. The carnival is also seeking general workers,” he said after visiting the carnival yesterday.
Held at Dewan Perbandaran Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya in Pandan Indah, Papparaidu hopes that candidates will stand out and present themselves effectively to attract the attention of hiring companies.
“Besides educational qualifications and experience, candidates also need to show confidence. Highlight your strengths so that companies are convinced to hire you.
“Today’s programme runs from 9am to 4pm. The public, especially job seekers and recent graduates, are encouraged to attend with their important documents,” he said.
This year, the career carnival is offering over 30,000 job opportunities through nine tour sessions, with three already held in Hulu Selangor on June 29, Petaling Jaya (July 17), and Kuala Langat (August 10).
The programme, introduced in 2022, will continue at Dewan Beringin Taman Seri Gombak (September 21), Dewan Hamzah Klang (October 5), and Dewan Dato’ Penggawa Permatang in Kuala Selangor (October 19).
Other districts include Dewan Komuniti Bandar Baru Salak Tinggi in Sepang (November 16) and Dewan Tun Razak in Sabak Bernam (December 14).
