SHAH ALAM, Sept 15 — Yayasan Hijrah Selangor is offering capital assistance for women who want to start their own businesses.
The agency said in a Facebook post that the aid, under the Niaga Darul Ehsan (NaDi) scheme, offers sponsorship of up to RM50,000.
“The NaDi scheme offers financing to help female entrepreneurs who want to start small businesses and need working capital.

On September 11, Hijrah Selangor chief executive officer Dato’ Mearia Hamzah said the foundation approved 90,475 financing applications from its establishment in 2015 until last month.
She said the scheme has benefited 60,429 entrepreneurs under Hijrah Selangor, helping them obtain working capital and purchase business necessities.
Previously, Mearia said the foundation aimed to disburse RM1 billion in financing to entrepreneurs in conjunction with its ninth anniversary this year.
To qualify for the NaDi scheme, criteria are as follows:
— Malaysian citizen (women only)
— Aged 18 to 65
— Register in a group of five people
— Must be a voter and permanent resident of Selangor
— One application per household
— Not blacklisted by any entity
