SHAH ALAM, August 26 — The Sungai Tekala Recreation Forest in Semenyih is closed to visitors for five days from today after traces of the leptospirosis virus, carried by rodents, were found in the area.
The decision to bar visitors from entering the forest was made by the Selangor Forestry Department’s Director, Azhar Ahmad through an infographic posted on the department’s Facebook page today.
“The Sungai Tekala Recreation Forest is temporarily closed to all visitors from August 26 to 30,” reads the notice.
