SHAH ALAM, Aug 7 — The state administration offers aircraft engine maintenance and repair courses for Selangor residents, which commence next October, with trainees eligible for allowances.
Managed by Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated), or MBI, and GE Engine Service Malaysia Sdn Bhd, registration for the year-long apprenticeship programme will be open until August 31.
Trainees will be mentored by field experts, exposed to the aerospace sector, undergo industrial training, and enjoy chances of pursuing careers with GE Engine.

In September 2022, MBI launched the Selangor Aerospace Apprenticeship Programme to empower youth to join the industry, towards building a sustainable talent chain and human capital.
The work-study programme involving over 50 apprentices will encompass engine maintenance and technical engineering in mechanical and electrical systems.
