SHAH ALAM, Aug 1 — Kuala Langat and Hulu Selangor welcomed new local council presidents, with their appointments taking effect beginning today.
The announcement was made by the State Secretary’s Office in a Facebook post this morning.
According to the post, Mohd Hasry Nor Mohd, who was previously the Hulu Selangor Municipal Council (MPHS) president, has been appointed to head the Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL).
The MPKL presidency fell vacant after its president, Datuk Amirul Azizan Abd Rahim, was appointed as the Subang Jaya mayor on July 22.
Ampang Jaya Municipal Council (MPAJ) secretary Julaihah Jamaludin, meanwhile, will fill up the top vacancy at MPHS left behind by Hasry.
“The appointment letters were presented by Selangor state secretary Dato’ Haris Kasim.
“Congratulations and best wishes for your duties,” the post read.
MPKL and MPHS also welcomed their new respective presidents in separate posts on Facebook today.
