KUALA LUMPUR, July 26 — NCT Smart Management Sdn Bhd (NCT Smart Management), a subsidiary of NCT Group, signed several Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with five companies, with an estimated value of RM25 million.
The collaboration is set to boost industry benchmarks at the NCT Smart Industrial Park (NSIP) developed by NCT Group, which will be Malaysia’s first managed industrial park located in the Integrated Development Region in South Selangor (Idriss).
The companies involved in the signing ceremony are Honor Aigrafx Innovative Intelligence International (Honor Aigrafx), Harta Maintenance Sdn Bhd (Harta Maintenance), JMM Lightings Sdn Bhd (JMM Lightings), Zinxer Paint Marketing Sdn Bhd (Zinxer Paint), and OK Coating Sdn Bhd (OK Coating).
State executive councillor for investment, trade, and mobility Ng Sze Han, who witnessed the event, said that the collaboration marks an important milestone for Selangor in developing the southern region of the state.
“It is part of the RS-1 (First Selangor Plan) initiatives, and it is also an important industry that we are focusing on in the five-year plan,” he told Selangor Journal when met after the MOU signing ceremony at the first series of the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2024, here today.
Also present to witness the event were NCT Group founder and group managing director Datuk Seri Yap Ngan Choy, and its sales and marketing general manager Eddy Lim.
Ng said that the five companies involved come from various industries, including lighting, electrical, paint, and project management and are able to draw investors from different fields to come to the smart industrial park.
“I would like to congratulate NCT Group for successfully attracting high-impact investments into Selangor by promoting effectively to potential investors,” he added.
NCT Smart Management efforts are focused on creating an eco-friendly and technologically superior industrial environment, aligning with global standards and fostering a dynamic ecosystem for businesses.
NSIP, a project valued at RM10 billion in gross development value (GDV), spans 732 acres and will be completed in three phases. The first phase, covering 250 acres of land, has secured over 60 per cent of bookings from both local and international investors.
The park aims to create 50,000 jobs during construction and more once it is completed. It features state-of-the-art infrastructure, including artificial intelligence-managed facilities, smart surveillance, and environmentally friendly initiatives such as solar energy utilisation and rainwater collection systems.
