PETALING JAYA, July 25 — Two innovative solutions from KDEB Waste Management (KDEBWM) were recognised at the PC.Com Awards here last night.
One was the iClean Selangor app, which was introduced in 2016, and named Best Public Service App, while the other, the Automated Drive-Through Recycling Centre (ADTRec) launched in March, was awarded Best Innovative Recycling Service Provider.
KDEBWM managing director Dato’ Ramli Mohd Tahir said the recognition will motivate the firm to push innovative solutions for its consumers.

“There are no limits for us at KDEBWM in improving all efforts for more efficient services for our users.
“We will try our best to provide the best for users, through the use of AI or other innovations, to boost effectiveness in service, data management, records, and such.
“We are committed to develop and provide more user-friendly and effective solutions for waste and recycling management in Selangor,” he said when met after the PC.Com Awards at Sunway Resort Hotel here last night.
The PC.Com Awards was officiated by Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo.

The ceremony, held by PC.Com magazine, is a prestigious event among industry players where a PC.Com magazine panel chooses winners based on online surveys that gather public feedback on award categories.
iClean Selangor allows Selangor residents to submit complaints about solid (domestic, bulk and public) waste collection.
Last year, the app won Best Public Service App as well at the previous edition of the PC.Com Awards.
ADTRec, meanwhile, is an 24-hour automated drive-through recycling hub equipped with CCTV, which facilitates easy community access to recycling.
It accepts paper, old newspaper, plastic bottles and wires, among others, for recycling.
