SHAH ALAM, July 23 — Over 1,500 entrepreneurs participated in the Bizmatch Mega PKNS and Selangor Entrepreneurs Assembly 2024 programme today, aiming to strengthen their networks and advance their businesses.

State executive councillor for entrepreneurial development Najwan Halimi said the second edition of the programme serves as a catalyst for business growth in Selangor while also aiming to improve facilities for traders.

"The Selangor State Development Corporation’s (PKNS) initiative is one of the state government's approaches to drive the growth of entrepreneurs in the state and facilitate direct connections with relevant agencies.

"This is also the beginning before the Selangor Business Expo 2024 (Selbiz 2024) which will be held in Setia Alam in October," he told the press after officiating the programme.

Held at Dewan Raja Muda Musa of the Selangor Youth and Culture Complex in Section 7, Bizmatch Mega PKNS featured 40 financing and entrepreneurial agencies, as well as a business seminar by Datuk Rosyam Nor.

The free event, which ran from 9am to 4pm, was also attended by PKNS deputy chief executive officer (corporate) Suhaimi Kasdon.

Meanwhile, Suhaiza Hussin, 49, one of the entrepreneurs who attended the event for the first time, expressed hope of being able to expand her entrepreneurial network.

"I attended because I saw great potential in this programme, especially the opportunity to meet agencies and showcase our products to stakeholders.

"Currently, my brand is available at all Rosyam Mart supermarket branches. My goal is to market the product in supermarkets nationwide," said the bird's nest drink entrepreneur, who produces over 5,000 bottles of bird's nest drink each month.

Health supplement product entrepreneur Asraff Rosli, 36, described the programme as highly beneficial for Selangor’s entrepreneurs seeking to expand their businesses.

Looking at adding factories to boost his company's product yield, he hopes Bizmatch Mega PKNS will continue and that entrepreneurs will receive direct guidance from the agencies involved.

"I am an entrepreneur guided by PKNS, and I am very grateful for their support, which has enabled my company to compete internationally and achieve export sales to Abu Dhabi.

"In this programme, I hope to connect with the right agency to help further develop our product production to meet the demands of local and foreign buyers," he said, adding that he started the business in 2018.
