PUTRAJAYA, July 18 — The 13th Royal Floria Putrajaya flower and garden festival, to be held at Persisiran Tasik here from August 22 to September 1, aims to draw over one million visitors.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa said Royal Floria Putrajaya will feature petunias as a theme flower.
“The festival will showcase more than 700,000 flowers and plants of various colours and uses, some never before seen,” she said at the Royal Floria Putrajaya pre-launch here today.
She said the festival meets the federal government’s development goals, with its concept of an “intelligent garden city” that combines modern and smart elements with nature.
“This festival not only showcases the beauty of flowers and plants found in the country and abroad, but also the beauty of Putrajaya’s magnificent architecture,” she said.
In a separate press conference, Dr Zaliha said the main attraction at the festival will be Astaka Flora, an indoor flower exhibit involving 10 participant countries.
She said over 100 activities will be held during the festival.
