SHAH ALAM, July 15 — Adam Saffian Ghazali has been named Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) chief executive officer, effective today.
In a statement, Air Selangor confirmed Adam Saffian will replace acting CEO Abas Abdullah, who served from January 1, 2023, to June 30 this year.
Adam Saffian brings 24 years of experience in the water services and utilities industry, having held key positions such as Aliran Ihsan Resources Bhd CEO, MMC Corporation Bhd special projects general manager, and Alam Flora Sdn Bhd CEO.
He holds a master’s in applied taxation from the University of New South Wales and a bachelor’s in business from the University of Technology Sydney.
“Adam Saffian is a certified accountant with the Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants,” the statement read.
In the same statement, Adam Saffian said he looks forward to joining Air Selangor and is committed to ensuring every drop of water is meaningful for the 9.3 million consumers in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
“Together, we will focus on improving quality of service, embracing innovative approaches, and ensuring sustainable water management for current and future generations,” he said.
