Rehda to showcase properties worth RM9 bln at Mapex 2024

KUALA LUMPUR, June 13 — The Malaysia Property Exposition (Mapex) 2024, jointly organised by the Selangor and Federal Territories Real Estate and Housing Developers’ Association (Rehda) branches, will showcase 10,000 properties worth RM9 billion.

Rehda vice-president Datuk Chan Kin Meng said the properties are priced starting from around RM300,000 to over RM1 million, spread across the Klang Valley, including Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Cyberjaya, Putrajaya and Negeri Sembilan.

“We have residential properties, including both landed and high-rise, stratified title houses. We also have shops and commercial lots available, offering quite an interesting variety (on the day),” he told a press conference on Mapex here today.

Nearly 30 exhibitors, comprising developers, financial institutions and government authorities, have confirmed their participation in the expo, to be held June 21-23 at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur.

The Selangor State Development Corporation, or PKNS, is among the Mapex exhibitors, joining IJM Land Bhd, KLK Land, LBS Bina Group, Mah Sing Group Bhd, Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd, OSK Property, Sime Darby Property Bhd and SkyWorld Development Bhd.

In a separate statement, Chan said the event will be officiated by Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability Minister Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, adding that the three-day expo is expected to attract 30,000 visitors.

In line with the government’s aspiration towards sustainability in the property sector, Mapex will feature a “Green Section” to showcase projects that have been awarded with a green certification by GreenRE Sdn Bhd.

“We hope that this special ‘Green Section’ will help create public awareness towards green and eco-friendly developments,” said Chan.
