SHAH ALAM, April 22 — Universiti Selangor (Unisel) has embarked on a collaboration with several leading universities and companies in South Korea focusing on the fields of farming and agriculture.

Its corporate communications director Hasril Abu Hassan said this following a meeting and signing of non-disclosure agreement (NDA) between Unisel’s Faculty of Engineering and Life Sciences and the South Korean entities last Tuesday.

“The purpose of the meeting was to continue the long-term research on microorganism technology in the agricultural field together with Unisel,” he said in a Facebook post.

The NDA was signed with Safuan Korea, Korea Soongsil Cyber University, KT Corporation (formerly Korea Telecom) and Nonghyup Bank.

During the signing ceremony, Unisel was represented by its president and vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Mohammad Redzuan Othman.

In addition, Hasril said Unisel will also enter a partnership with two other education institutions in South Korea soon, namely Seoul University and Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

This collaboration will focus on syllabi and contents to further enhance education on agricultural technology.
