SHAH ALAM, April 19 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari kicked off his working visit to Germany today by meeting the Malaysian diaspora in Munich.

In a Facebook post, he said the two-hour meeting saw him discussing and exchanging ideas with the Malaysian business community as well as students pursuing their higher education there.

“During the meeting and question and answer session, I also discussed the efforts taken by the Selangor government, through the First Selangor Plan, to continue driving economic growth and ensuring the well-being of the people and the state,” he said today.

Amirudin said it has become customary for him to meet with Malaysian citizens and communities, especially those from Selangor, whenever he travels abroad for official work visits.

He expressed his thanks and gratitude to those who attended the meeting today, as well as to the Malaysian Investment Development Authority in Munich for organising the programme.

The Menteri Besar said he is scheduled to visit Cologne next to witness the signing of a “historic” memorandum of understanding involving the state government, but stopped short of elaborating.

“I will also visit Hannover to fulfil an invitation to attend a special event, Hannover Messe 2024, as a panellist.”

Hannover Messe is one of the world's largest trade fairs dedicated to the topic of industry development.
