SHAH ALAM, Jan 25 — The Sultan of Selangor and the Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor convey their greetings on the occasion of Thaipusam to all Hindu devotees, especially to Selangor's residents who celebrate it.
The Selangor Royal Office's Facebook page said Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj and Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin hopes the Thaipusam celebration, focused at Batu Caves, will be celebrated in an orderly and festive atmosphere.
"His Royal Highness wishes the celebrations observed by every community and religion in Malaysia will continue to be respected and carried out in an atmosphere of full tolerance and harmony.
"May this year's Thaipusam celebration continue to foster the spirit of unity among the diverse people of different races and religions, while sowing the seeds of unity among each other," it said.
