PETALING JAYA, Oct 28 — Koperasi Warga Pertubuhan Peladang Kebangsaan (Nafas) Selangor Bhd is now venturing into event management, with the opening of the Nafas Function Hall at Taman Sains Selangor today.
Its manager, Mohamad Sarif Safian, said the hall, which can accommodate up to 1,200 people at any one time, offers facilities for various events and functions, including weddings, corporates, graduations, training, seminars and birthday celebrations.
“Nafas Function Hall is an elderly and disabled-friendly hall, complete with surau and parking facilities,” he told reporters at the opening of the venue, today.
He added that package offered includes various services for organising events, such as event management, catering, PA system, photography and traffic management crew.
Sarif said in conjunction with the opening of the function hall today, the cooperative is offering a discount of up to RM2,000 for functions held before January 1, 2024.
He said event management is the biggest investment for the cooperative, which now boasts 404 members nationwide, made up of employees of Nafas (National Farmers’ Organisation) and its subsidiaries.
Previously, the Koperasi Warga Nafas Selangor was involved in insurance and takaful business, cleaning services, chalets and organising recreation programmes.
