SHAH ALAM, Oct 27 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari has said individuals applying for the MamaKerja Incentive will receive RM1,000 in financial aid from the state government within 14 days of submitting their application.
He was responding to a query on when the beneficiaries of the state government’s newly announced childcare incentive, which accepts applications starting on November 1, would receive the benefits.
“Fourteen days after the application is made,” Amirudin told the press after today's mock cheque handover ceremony at the State Secretariat Building.
The MamaKerja Incentive, launched yesterday, provides RM1,000 in financial aid to 5,000 working mothers to subsidise childcare costs.
It is the fourth of the five 100-day election pledges announced before the state polls in August, which will be implemented as scheduled.

Separately, Amirudin said Selangor Pakatan Harapan has decided against contesting the state election results for the Taman Medan, Sungai Kandis, and Dengkil state seats.
Speaking as Selangor Harapan chairman, he said the decision will be reviewed with the Parti Keadilan Rakyat legal counsel, which will be determined through its Central Election Department (JPRP).
“The petition for Gombak Setia has been submitted, and the other three state seats are currently under review.
“However, I am aware that Keadilan lawyers may not wish to proceed with these cases; so we will defer to the JPRP’s decision,” Amirudin said.
On October 4, Utusan Malaysia reported the Shah Alam High Court had received only one election petition seeking to annul the results of the Selangor state election for the Gombak Setia state seat.
