No more long queues: MBPJ launches business licence printing kiosks

By Sheeda Fathil

PETALING JAYA, Oct 27 — In an effort to facilitate businesses to obtain their operation licences, the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has installed eight licence printing kiosks across the city.

Its deputy mayor Aznan Hassan said the initiative is set to benefit some 21,370 trade, business and industry licence holders. The facility, however, does not include renewal of planning approvals.

“It can help business owners manage their time independently without the need to wait in long queues, as they can simply go to the provided kiosks to print their licences.

“We hope this initiative will resolve their previous complaints about having to wait long to obtain their printed licence,” he said when met after launching the facility at MBPJ’s headquarters, here, yesterday.

Other than printing licences, the kiosks also provide other services such as payments for assessment tax, compounds, licences, bills, and hall rentals.

The kiosks are located at:

  • MBPJ headquarters lobby (7.30am to 9pm)
  • Menara MBPJ lobby (7.30am to 9pm)
  • MBPJ’s drive-thru counter (8am to 4pm)
  • Kota Damansara branch lobby (8am to 4pm)
  • Jalan Othman market (7.30am to 9pm)
  • Taman Megah market (7.30am to 9pm)
  • PJKita SS5 market (7.30am to 9pm)
  • SS22 Atria food court (7.30am to 9pm)
