Clearer skies in Klang Valley, no unhealthy API readings

SHAH ALAM, Oct 4 — The country's air quality improved markedly this morning, with no single location in the Klang Valley recording unhealthy readings on the Air Pollutant Index (API).

Nationwide, only Sri Aman, Sarawak has an unhealthy reading of 128 as at 10am.

All six locations in Selangor have moderate air quality.

The highest was in Klang with a reading of 77, followed by Banting (75), Shah Alam (71), Kuala Selangor (71), Johan Setia (71) and Petaling Jaya 67.

The situation is similar in the country's capital, with Cheras recording an API reading of 87, while Batu Muda at 65. Putrajaya, meanwhile, has a reading of 69.

In comparison, five locations recorded unhealthy air quality yesterday morning, including two in Selangor, namely Banting (119) and Petaling Jaya (109).
