SHAH ALAM, Oct 4 — State executive councillor for youth and sports Mohd Najwan Halimi presented the plans and activities of his standing committee to the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah during a royal audience yesterday.
Alongside state officials, he also received advice and views from His Highness on exploring initiatives to harness youth potential.
"I thank His Highness the Raja Muda Tengku Amir Shah for graciously listening to the briefing on the standing committee's plans and workings.
"His Highness also suggested several approaches to empower youths, athletes, and entrepreneurs in Selangor, focusing on knowledge cultivation and character development," Mohd Najwan said on X yesterday.
As a gesture of appreciation, the councillor presented a set of pickleball sports equipment to Tengku Amir, following the audience.
"Pickleball is an emerging sport in Malaysia and has its own following, including by His Highness. It is somewhat similar to tennis but played on a smaller-sized court.
"I pray for Tengku Amir to remain in constant good health, and may His Highness be blessed with wisdom and leadership for the well-being and prosperity of Selangor's people," Mohd Najwan said.
