HULU LANGAT, Aug 5 — The people have warmly welcomed the announcement of Selangor's Pakatan Harapan - Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto, dubbed Tawaran Kita Selangor, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said among its offers which have drawn the public's attention, including the RM1,000 in assistance for career women and the RM2,000 incentive for 3,000 muassasah Hajj pilgrims.
"The response has been very positive, including the proposal to extend railway infrastructure like the Light Rail Transit and the Mass Rapid Transit lines all the way to Kuala Selangor, as well as the development of three urban areas.
"Some additional solutions include providing 200,000 students with the Selangor People’s Tutoring Programme, technical and vocational education and training to 10,000 students in the state, and creating 100,000 employment opportunities," Amirudin said.
He was speaking to the press during the launch of Skim Insan Takaful and Tekad Insani #KitaSelangor, at the Bangi Convention Center in Kajang yesterday
On Monday (July 31) Amirudin, who is also Selangor Harapan chairman, launched Tawaran Kita Selangor, which encompasses various critical sectors in order to drive the current progress.
Part of the manifesto's content, consisting of five core areas, has already been implemented under the Menteri Besar's tenure while other programmes are included in the First Selangor Plan (RS-1).
