PETALING JAYA, July 16 — Around 300 youths from various fields and disciplines gathered to express their views and share their problems with Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari, at the Suara Anak Muda #INIMASAKAMI programme yesterday.

Held at Live Art in the Jaya One shopping centre, it was also attended by Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung.

In his speech, the Menteri Besar praised the organisation of the programme and hopes it will be regularly held, so as to provide opportunities for everyone to have a voice.

"Everybody's views will enable us to develop a comprehensive and more systematic ecosystem.

"All problems must be addressed on the grassroots level, as that is where the ecosystem's foundations lies. We need to understand the root issues in order to fully resolve them," he said.

Meanwhile, a Suara Anak Muda #INIMASAKAMI's organising committee member said the programme serves as a platform for participants, including students, to voice their concerns in their respective fields.

"The participants include professionals, general workers, students, NGOs, as well as representatives of disabled persons.

"Today, they can directly convey their problems or views to the Menteri Besar. This makes it easier for the state administration to understand them better," said Arif Fikri Ridzwan.

During the dialogue session, several of the issues raised include transportation, the cost of living, urban planning, sports development, additional economic sectors, and allowances for practical training students, among others.
