SHAH ALAM, April 25 — Approximately 600 athletes, officials and coaches of the Selangor contingent for the 20th Malaysian Games (Sukma) last year have been given special Hari Raya Aidilfitri incentives.
Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari said this is in recognition of their contributions, which earned Selangor fourth place and garnered 32 gold, 54 silver, and 45 bronze medals.
"All of their strenuous efforts ought to be commended and appreciated. We hope this will further motivate their drive for the next Sukma.
"Simultaneously, this contribution coincides with the Aidilfitri celebrations, and we likewise hope it will bring them some festive cheer," he said in a Facebook post.
