KUALA SELANGOR, Jan 30 — The Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI has donated RM113,165 to Alam Perdana Community Association, says its Corporate Social Responsibility head Ahmad Azri Zainal Nor.
He said the donation for the construction of the community fence has been approved in 2018 by the previous Menteri Besar.
“Actually, their application was approved more than five years ago but there was a technical problem.
"In 2021, I was informed about this problem. So, I checked the old file again and we got a new approval from Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari," he said.
Earlier, Ahmad Azri presented a replica cheque to the Alam Perdana Community Association chairman Husaini Saimon and was witnessed by Kuala Selangor MP Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.
Meanwhile, Husaini said the construction of the community fence aims to curb the problem of stray dogs and burglaries that often occur in the housing area involved.
"This problem has been going on for a long time. Through the construction of this fence, it may be able to solve the problem that is bothering almost 600 residents here," he said.
In the meantime, all applications for Back to School assistance amounting to RM100 each under MBI are being processed.
Ahmad Azri said that each state constituency has met the quota of 300 applications to be distributed to eligible residents.
"Many state constituencies are trying to meet the set quota. There are also constituencies who requested for additional allocations, but we are unable to fulfill those requests," he said.
Previously, MBI extended the application for Back to School assistance until January 31, in order to give a chance to state constituency officials who have not yet completed the list of applicants.
The applicant's income limit is also set below RM4,000 for the next year's school session compared to RM2,500 before.
