SHAH ALAM, Dec 15 — The Selangor Royal Malaysian Police is offering a 50 per cent discount on traffic summonses for two days, beginning December 20.
Citing Sinar Harian, its Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department in a statement said the payment could be done at all traffic counters throughout the state from 8am until 4pm.
“However, the discount is not given to accident suits, non-compound summon, Op Selamat status and cases involving court proceedings.
“Other than that, offences involving heavy vehicles, dangerous overtaking, cutting the line, use of the emergency lane, violating traffic lights, overtaking on double lines and exhaust modified are also not eligible for the discount,” it said.
It is understood that online transactions are not available for the discount offer and interested members of the public can make payments and check their status at traffic counters physically throughout Selangor.
