SHAH ALAM, Nov 18 — Pakatan Harapan (Harapan) has been running various programmes that benefits women and youths during their administration of Selangor.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said since 2018, the state government has spent hundreds of millions of ringgit specifically for the benefit of these two social groups.
“Imagine if Harapan succeeds in governing Putrajaya, I am certain we will be able to provide more than what achieved in Selangor,” he said in a special address, in conjunction with the 15th general election’s (GE15) polling day tomorrow.
Amirudin also listed several assistance initiatives and programmes for youths and women thus far, namely:
- Full motorbike license subsidies, complete with Employee Provident Fund contribution and insurance coverage through Inisiatif Roda Darul Ehsan (RiDE).
- Providing 55,000 job opportunities to youths, via the Selangor Kerjaya organisation.
- RM200 in monthly assistance for single mothers.
- RM10 million per year in microcredit scheme funds for women entrepreneurs.
- Breast cancer screening, kindergarten fees assistance, Al-Quran dan Fardu Ain class fees, free tuition, and special-needs children programmes.
Therefore he invited youths and women, as the largest categories of voters, to go out and vote for Harapan in GE15.
