SHAH ALAM, Nov 3 — Five routes around the nomination centre for Hulu Selangor parliamentary seat in the upcoming 15th general election (GE15) will be closed this Saturday.
Hulu Selangor district police chief Superintendent Suffian Abdullah said the road closure will start at 1am until the nomination process is completed at Dewan Serbaguna dan Kompleks Sukan Pejabat Daerah Tanah.
“The five routes include Jalan Merdeka, Jalan Dato’ Haji Kamarudin, Jalan Abdul Hamid, Jalan Mat Kilau and Jalan Dato’ Muda Jaafar.
“The routes will be diverted to Jalan Kubu, Jalan Dato’ Tabal, Jalan Rasathurai, Jalan Dato’ Balai, Jalan Abdul Hamid, Jalan Syed Masyor and Jalan Kuala Lumpur - Kuala Lipis,” he said in a statement today.
Suffian added that road users are advised to use alternative routes, to smoothen the process during the nomination day.
