HULU KLANG, Nov 2 — Pakatan Harapan (PH) is determined to continue its practice of governance with integrity if given the mandate in the 15th general election (GE15).

Selangor PH chairman Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the coalition would want to resume certain undertakings that had been axed following the Sheraton Move.

“Our (PH) experience was 22 months (of ruling the country). It was really painful as we reorganised (the administration).

“I believe that PH can take over Putrajaya (in GE15) even though we had painful experiences there. We will reinstate what we put in place (during the 22-month period).

“God willing, if we are given the trust, we will do our best (to) restore the economy and dignity of the country,” he said in a speech in conjunction with a public dinner and talk at Skate Park AU5, here last night.

The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate for Gombak Parliament said Malaysia’s corruption perception index (CPI) is clear proof of the success of PH’s administration.

“We have evidence the CPI during PH (administration) successfully improved from 61 per cent to 51 per cent. Within a year, we lowered this index.

“(After) Perikatan Nasional (PN) started governing, (the CPI) rose back to 58 per cent. Enter (Datuk Seri) Ismail (Sabri Yaakob), the index shot up to 62 per cent. So, this is not a one-day job,” he said.
