GOMBAK, Sept 5 — The Selangor Technical Skills Development Centre (STDC) is offering Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) graduates opportunities to further study in its 10 skills and technical courses.
Its Marketing administrative assistant Mohd Zuzaily Zulkufele said scholarships and hostel accommodation will be provided to eligible applicants.
"We are targeting to get more students, especially Sjil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) graduates to know about the advantages of furthering their study in STDC," he said when met at the Gombak Public Library today.
Among the courses offered include computer systems, automotive, electrical, culinary, pastry, spa therapy, and fashion sewing.
Mohd Zuzaily said STDC is now actively promoting the courses through the Jelajah Pendidikan Selangor Penyayang jointly organised by TVET.
"We have started the education roadshow since September 1 in five locations starting from Banting, Gombak, Klang, Sabak Bernam, and it will end on September 8 in Sepang," he said.
On September 1, Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari invited SPM graduates to join the STDC-TVET Jelajah Pendidikan Selangor Penyayang in five locations throughout the state.
Amirudin said those interested should come with their parents along with a copy of their identity card and SPM results.
