SHAH ALAM, Sept 2 —Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) or MBI yesterday launched an Integrity Guidelines Handbook as part of its efforts in assisting the fight against corruption.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari officiated the handbook launching in conjunction with the Corruption-Free Pledge (IBR) signing ceremony by MBI business partners at Dewan Raja Muda Musa here.
Amirudin said the effort to come out with the handbook was proof of the commitment shown by MBI as well as its subsidiaries in creating governance which is more transparent and of high integrity in all its dealings.
"This is certainly a step forward by MBI by coming out with a structured plan that is shared with all its business partners so that all parties can make dealings within the set guidelines.
"This is to guarantee a safe (business) practice for all parties who deal and issue revenue," he said.
During the event, more than 1,000 MBI business partners and vendors took the corruption-free pledges led by MBI Governance head Anas Sulaiman.
Meanwhile, MBI chief executive officer Norita Mohd Sidek said the handbook can be accessed through the MBI website.
"It contains six policies related to integrity that have been summarised to be used as a guide for those dealing with MBI," she said.
