SHAH ALAM, August 26 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today officiated the groundbreaking ceremony for the Rumah Idaman Bukit Jelutong, which is one of the state government’s affordable housing projects.
He said construction for the project commenced in July and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
"This is not merely a groundbreaking ceremony where nothing can be seen at the site. Instead today we can see that construction works such as piling have already started at the site.
“This is a testament to the state government’s commitment to fulfilling the needs and dreams of the people to have their own house,” he said.
Developed by Gagasan Nadi Cergas and Permodalan Negeri Selangor Berhad (PNSB), the housing project comprises 1,260 units of partially-furnished houses. The selling price for each unit is set at RM250,000.

Each unit comes with three bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a television set, a refrigerator, kitchen cabinet, built-in wardrobe, water heaters, an air-conditioner and two parking lots.
Other facilities include a swimming pool, gymnasium, multipurpose hall, badminton court, kindergarten, reading room, playground, jogging track and rooftop garden.
Rumah Idaman has been included as one of the state government’s initiatives under the Iltizam Selangor Penyayang (ISP) to help low-income families (B40) to own comfortable houses.
As of June, a total of 31 projects comprising 78,182 house units have been approved for construction.
