Selangor’s five-year comprehensive plan to be tabled on July 25

SHAH ALAM, July 21 — The tabling of the First Selangor Plan (RS-1) will be aired live on Facebook via SelangorTV and Media Selangor on July 25.

The five year plan, which will be unveiled by Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari at the Selangor State Legislative Assembly, is said to build a stronger, more resilient state that is ready to take on new challenges in an increasingly complex environment.

Amidurin had previously stated that the state administration had carefully created a living document that could be adjusted to current developments as part of the efforts to make Selangor a Smart State by 2025.

He said the RS-1 comprises four main themes, namely economy, social, sustainability, and governance, as the guiding principles to achieve its target.

The structure of the plan includes economic expansion that coordinates investment strategies, enhances quality of life, and promotes social inclusion.

It also emphasises the need for sustainability to protect the environment along with smart and efficient governance by involving both the public and stakeholders.

The RS-1 includes four phases, the first of which deals with aligning the visions, frameworks, and objectives.

The second phase would include diagnostic information and content development, the third phase to see the detailing and focus of programmes, followed by the final phase, which would be the finalisation of the report and validation sessions.

Follow news reports on the tabling of the RS-1 via selangorkini.my and selangorjournal.my.

Comprehensive report on the plan will also be featured in Selangor Journal’s August edition, which be available from August 1.
