SHAH ALAM, July 16 — Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Amirudin Shari launched the Selangor State Election book at the Mini Expo held at the Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) 16th National Congress, here yesterday.
Comprehensive information on voters in every state constituency, including the number of voters, gender and age, can be found in the book published by the state PKR Election Committee.
Amirudin said that it could be used as a reference and assist election machinery in preparing for the general election (GE) that will take place in the near future.
“This (GE) is a big challenge for us. Instead of thinking in terms of waves at this time, focus on the data of voters in order to declare a victory.
“It is important for election officials and workers. If everyone knows the direction, we will be successful,” he said.
Meanwhile, the publisher and the state's director of operations for PKR and Pakatan Harapan, Mohd Yahya Mat Sahri, said the book was the second issue after bring introduced for the first time in April 2019.
“It will be used as a reference and guide at the state and parliament level. The data was collected from the Election Commission and is current as of May this year.
“In collaboration with the Pakatan Harapan Tour programme and the Selangor Penyayang roadshow, 2,000 prints were produced and distributed to several parliamentary seats,” he said.
