SHAH ALAM, July 8 — In comparison to the present administration, a number of measures implemented during the 22-month Pakatan Harapan government were more successful, especially when it came to tackling concerns about the cost of living.
However, Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said some matters affecting the sensitivity of the Malays had to be clarified before making any attempts to implement them.
“If we want to implement the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD), we must explain why because Malays view this as a topic that oppresses Islam and special rights,” he said in an exclusive interview with Media Selangor.

The Opposition leader also touched on several current issues, including the PKR party polls, rise in prices of goods, the opposition’s collaboration in the upcoming general election, and the anti-party hopping law.
