KUALA LANGAT, JULY 4: More than 65 per cent of Selangor citizens are satisfied with the administration of the state government under the leadership of Pakatan Harapan (PH), says Menteri Besar Dato 'Seri Amirudin Shari.
He said the figure was based on a survey conducted by the state every year regarding the people's views on the Selangor leadership.
“Based on the information I obtained, more than 65 per cent of the people are very satisfied with the PH’s leadership style which is considered to be more forward-looking.
"The people are also satisfied with the welfare programmes that we have implemented from then until now… we slowly learned on how to meet their demands and Alhamdulillah (Praise be to God) we have received positive feedback," he said.
He said this while speaking at the Selangor Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) Economic Bureau Charity Dinner at the Dewan Persatuan Bola Keranjang Kuala Langat here last night.
The ceremony was attended by more than 1,000 individuals including several PH leaders including Selangor Trust chairman Izham Hashim, state executive councillor for trade and investment Dato’ Teng Chang Khim and state executive councillor for rural development and traditional village Borhan Aman Shah.
Amirudin explained that the state government had never given 'political sweets' (gula-gula politik) but had instead worked hard to fulfil their promise to care for the welfare of the people.
"We strengthened the health policy, built affordable homes, provided aid for home repairs after the floods and during the pandemic we bought our own vaccines, these are the things that can not be matched by any state.
"Therefore, with the various initiatives implemented, I am confident that the PH government will be able to govern Selangor again in the next 15th General Election (GE15)," he said.
