"Other states and territories which are expected to undergo inclement weather include Kuala Lumpur, Perlis, Kedah, Penang and Perak.

"Kelantan (Jeli, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang) Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Hulu Terengganu and Dungun) Pahang (Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Bera, Pekan and Rompin) Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol and Tampin) and Johor (Segamat, Kluang, Mersing, Kulai and Kota Tinggi) will also see strong weather," it said.

In East Malaysia, Sarawak's affected areas include Kuching, Sri Aman, Betong (Betong), Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu and Kapit (Song) while in Sabah it is Pedalaman (Sipitang, Beaufort and Tambunan), Pantai Barat (Ranau), Tawau (Kunak and Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Kinabatangan) dan Kudat (Pitas and Kudat)

The inclement weather pattern is expected to persist until 6pm.

A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release.
