SHAH ALAM, April 13 — Sekinchan state assemblyman Ng Suee Lim has allocated RM50,000 to organise various programmes involving his constituents during the fasting month.
The Selangor State Legislative Assembly Speaker said the programmes include visits to the homes of low-income families under his constituency.
“The programme involves 100 houses in Sekinchan and Tanjung Karang where we would distribute Ramadan donations and ‘duit raya’,” he told SelangorKini when contacted.
Ng said 1,500 boxes of dates and 2,000 packs of ‘bubur lambuk’ would also be distributed to the public at the Ramadan bazaar.
He added the distribution is carried out every Saturday for four weeks at selected bazaars.
