SHAH ALAMm April 8 — The state government has approved a RM14.15 million allocation for repair works in areas that have experienced landslides.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the allocation will be used to strengthen cliffsides that pose a risk, particularly in areas under the jurisdiction of the Selayang Municipal Council (MPS)

"Currently work is being carried out and at the same time the state government has also agreed to approve a RM1.6 million allocation for cliffside repair works at Pangsapuri Intan Taman Bukit Permai in Ampang," he said.

Amirudin was speaking during the Rapat Rahmah Ramadan event at Dewan Jubli Perak earlier today.

The Menteri Besar added the state government also approved a RM138,000 allocation as aid for residents who were affected by the landslide in Ampang last month.

"InsyaAllah this aid will be channelled by Hari Raya Aidilfitri where four families will be given RM10,000 in aid as their family members perished in the incident.

"An injured victim will be given RM5,000, each victim from the 11 damaged units will get RM5,000 while 70 units and six affected vehicles will each receive RM500," he said.
