SHAH ALAM, March 30 — Several Selangor districts are expected to undergo heavy rains, strong winds and thunderstorms until this evening, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia)
The districts include Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling and Hulu Langat, where the weather will persist until 6pm.
"Other states and localities include the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory, Kedah (Baling, Kulim and Bandar Baharu) Seberang Perai Selatan in Penang and Perak (Kerian, Larut, Matang Dan Selama, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim)

"Pahang (Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Lipis, Raub and Bentong) Jelebu in Negeri Sembilan and Johor (Segamat, Kluang and Mersing) will also be affected," it said in a statement released at 4.20pm.
Meanwhile, inclement weather has also been predicted to last until 7pm for the Putrajaya Federal Territory, Melaka, Negeri Sembilan (Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Tampin) Johor (Kulai, Kota Tinggi and Johor Bahru) and Sabah's localities including Pantai Barat (Tuaran, Ranau and Kota Belud)
MetMalaysia issues warnings whenever signs indicate a thunderstorm with a rain intensity exceeding 20 mm that is close to or is expected to occur for more than an hour.
A thunderstorm warning is a short-term warning valid for a period not exceeding six hours for a single release.
