GOMBAK, March 19 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari today launched 1,660 units of Pangsapuri Bayu Residensi @ Seri Temenggung, in Batu Caves, here.
He said of the total, 420 of the units are Rumah Selangorku, which is an affordable housing project for the low-income group.
“Alhamdulillah (praise be to God) as today we are here to launch 1,240 units of affordable apartments named Pangsapuri Bayu Residensi @ Seri Temenggung which is now 35 per cent complete.
"Meanwhile, next to it is another construction project, the Rumah Selangorku @ Seri Temenggung which offers 420 units and is almost 100 per cent completed," he said.
Amirudin said after officiating the launching ceremony of 1,240 units of Bayu Residensi apartments and a visit to the project site for 420 units of Rumah Selangorku.
He said Bayu Residensi apartment price starts at RM225,000 while Rumah Selangorku is sold at RM65,000 to former settlers in the area.
“In the past, this area was a squatter settlement housing 29 families, so they will receive the Rumah Selangorku unit here at the low price of RM65,000.
"Alhamdulillah (praise be to God), finally after a win-win discussion between the landowner Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) and the developer Kumpulan Syarikat Melati Ehsan, this housing project in now nearing completion," he said.
Amirudin said he is confident that the homes which are offered at affordable prices will be able to attract buyers as it comes with 37 facilities such as a swimming pool, gymnasium, children's playground, surau, multipurpose hall and barbeque area.
“We are confident as its strategic location near main roads such as Lebuh Utama Seri Gombak, MRR2 (Middle Ring Road 2) and Duke (Duta-Ulu Klang Expressway), plus the various public amenities available in the areas will attract buyers’ interest,” he said.
