Bukit Jelutong pump house repair completed, water supply being restored in stages

SHAH ALAM, Feb 25 — Repair works to fix an electrical system failure at the pump house in Bukit Jelutong U8, Shah Alam, this morning is expected to be completed by 2.30pm today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) corporate communication head Elina Baseri said upon completion water supply will be distributed to the 41 affected areas in Petaling and Klang regions in stages.

“These areas experienced unscheduled water supply disruption following an electrical system failure at the pump house this morning.

“Water supply was temporarily disrupted to allow repair works that started at 9.30am,” she said in a statement today.

She added that the duration of water supply recovery differs from one area to another depending on the location and distance of the consumers' premises.

“Alternative assistance through water tankers will be mobilised to affected areas, with priority given to critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption,” she said.

Elina also reminded Air Selangor consumers to cooperate by practising social distancing and wearing face masks while collecting their water supply from the tankers.

For official information on water supply disruptions, visit Air Selangor’s official communication channels, namely the Air Selangor application, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and the website at www.airselangor.com.
