SHAH ALAM, Dec 23 — Local volunteer organisation Team Selangor distributed 2,325 food bags yesterday to state residents, who have been affected by the flooding disaster.
Its chief secretariat Syahaizel Keman said 100 volunteers were mobilised to prepare and distribute the food-related assistance.
"Team Selangor also had the aid services of volunteers from Angkatan Mahasiswa and Universiti Malaya.
"In addition, other groups including Amal Crew and Persatuan Mahasiswa Selangor also helped," he said when contacted.
On December 18, the state government mobilised volunteer teams including Team Selangor, to help in the process of placing affected residents in temporary relief centres.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the volunteers also participated in distributing early aid to flood victims.
