SHAH ALAM, Dec 22 — Water supply has been fully restored to areas affected by unscheduled water cuts in Kuala Lumpur as of 10pm tonight.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement on Facebook today said the restoration of water supply in Hulu Langat is at 90.5 per cent.

“As of 9pm today, the water supply recovery in the affected areas has reached 94 per cent.

“The Cheras Batu 11 water treatment plant (WTP) has commenced operations and the water supply for the areas affected is expected to fully recover at 10am, tomorrow,” the statement read.

On Sunday, several areas in Petaling, Hulu Langat, and Kuala Lumpur were hit by unscheduled water supply disruption due to the emergency closure of four WTPs following increasing water levels.

Meanwhile, Air Selangor said it will continue to provide alternative assistance through water tankers that are mobilised in stages to the affected areas, with priority given to critical premises during the unscheduled water supply disruption.

“Air Selangor is seeking the consumers' cooperation to practise social distancing and wear face masks while collecting the water supply from the water tankers.”

For further information, consumers may refer to Air Selangor's official communication channels such as the Air Selangor mobile application, FacebookInstagram and Twitter, or contact the Air Selangor Contact Centre at 15300.

Inquiries and complaints can be submitted to the Help Centre at www.airselangor.com or the Air Selangor application.
