SHAH ALAM, Nov 5 — Covid-19 screening appointment bookings and self-test kit purchases are among the latest features introduced in the state-developed mobile app SELangkah (Step In, Safely).
Based on the SELangkah update notification, the new functions were introduced on November 1, with the public needing to update the app to use it.
“Through the app you can now book an appointment for a swab test at one of our clinics, or buy your own self-test kit and choose to self-pickup, or have it delivered.
“This new feature allows users to book appointment slots for Covid-19 screening for themselves and their dependents at their preferred date and location," said the notification.
SELangkah also encourages people, especially those seeking to travel, to order and purchase a Covid-19 self-test kit before embarking on their journey.
"Stop at the pharmacy of your choice and pick it up when you go to the airport," it posted on Facebook.
The contact-tracing app was introduced on May 5, 2020, to facilitate monitoring of the public during pandemics and the movement control order (MCO).
The application was later updated to register participants for free Covid-19 screening organised by the Selangor government.
