SHAH ALAM, Oct 12 — In conjunction with the Mental Health Month 2021, the public is welcomed to participate in two virtual events which will be held on October 30, said the Menteri Besar.
Dato’ Seri Aminudin Shari said the two events, Fit Mental 3-km run and Scavenger Hunt Virtual 2021, will begin from 7am to 6pm at the location which is deemed suitable to carry out physical activities.
He said the cash reward amounting to RM500 will be given to the first 10 winners, alongside another 10 special gifts for lucky participants.
“Let us increase the awareness of mental health,” Amirudin said on Facebook, today.
On October 9, the Fit Mental and Scavenger Hunt was launched by state executive councillor for sports Mohd Khairuddin Othman during the Selangor Day of Sports 2021 programme.
The idea for such events was suggested by Subang Jaya assemblyman Michelle Ng Mei Sze and Kampung Tunku assemblyman Lim Yi Wei to help youths diagnosed with mental health issues, and for them to benefit from the use of technologies.
The event is also supported by the Selangor National Sports Centre, Care Warriors and Selangor Local Youth Movement (PeBS).
