SHAH ALAM, June 28 — Four areas in Selangor will come under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) for 14 days from June 30 until July 13.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the areas involved are CLQ Gamuda Gardens Kundang Jaya in Rawang; Taman Murni in Sepang; Pangsapuri Sri Ayu, in Seksyen 4, Bandar Baru Bangi and CLQ Johan Setia, Kampung Johan Setia, Klang.
In a statement today, Ismail Sabri said the EMCO in CLQ Gamuda Gardens was imposed after the Health Ministry (MOH) had identified 57 Covid-19 cases in the area.
“Therefore, the implementation of EMCO is to control the movement of the residents in the localities so as to prevent the disease from spreading to other localities.
“For other areas, the EMCO seeks to restrict movement and prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection outside the localities,” he said.
Meanwhile, Ismail Sabri said yesterday, the compliance operation task force had conducted 2,047 inspections on factories and 11,899 business premises.
“From the total inspection, eight premises have been ordered to close as they have breached the standard operating procedures (SOP).
“The government will enhance overall enforcement in terms of inspections on the factories and business premises as there are many violations of government directives and SOPs reported,” he said.
