SHAH ALAM, June 7 — A total of 37 compounds were issued by police during Op Covid 3.0, to factory owners around Klang Utara for multiple offences including having more than 60 per cent workers on the premises.

Klang Utara District Police chief, Assistant Commissioner Nurulhuda Mohd Salleh said the two-day operation that ended yesterday also detected premises that failed to provide temperature scanner equipment and ensure their employees scanned the MySejahtera application code.

“The police had issued compounds on employees who did not scan the MySejahtera code and failed to wear face masks.

"Also, eight factories were ordered to close for not having a business license, no letter of permission from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (Miti) and not included in the sector allowed to operate," she said in a statement today.

Nurulhuda said all compounds were issued under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988.

The joint operation with Klang Municipal Council (MPK) had inspected factories in Sungai Kapar, Meru, Bandar Sultan Suleiman and Bandar Bukit Raja.
