KUALA LANGAT, March 22 — The Selangor administration has given its assurance that the Orang Asli in the state would not be left behind.

Its Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said all of the communities and groups in Selangor will be heard and assisted best possible.

He said the state government would like to see that the indigenous groups are also able to enjoy a comfortable life.

“That is why we provide particular localities and areas so that there would not be any disturbance from any other parties,” he said during the handing over ceremony of food baskets to the people of Kampung Asli Sungai Bumbun, here yesterday.

Amirudin said the commitment by the state government is to ensure the multi-cultural harmony and livelihood of all races.

“The Malays, Chinese, Indian, Orang Asli, Mah Meri, Temuan… we hope that they can all co-exist comfortably and understand one another,” he added.
