SHAH ALAM, March 11 —  A total of 18,679 frontliners in Selangor have received the Covid-19 vaccine as of Tuesday with a large group of them are medical workers.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the total of Health Ministry personnel who were vaccinated stood at 18,521 while 158 other individuals were non-medical frontliners.

“The state government estimates that the number (of those vaccinated) will increase when the collaboration with private hospitals commences as per the National Covid-19 Immunisation Plan,” Amirudin said on Facebook.

This was followed by Sepang (3,266), Klang (3,186), Hulu Langat (2,838), Petaling (2,282) and Kuala Langat (881).

“A total of 545 frontliners in Hulu Selangor were also vaccinated while in Sabak Bernam (462) and Kuala Selangor (413).

“Non-medical frontliners that received the vaccine include those in Kuala Langat, Petaling and Sepang,” he said.
