PORT KLANG, Feb 27 — A total of 1,000 individuals are expected to undergo the Covid-19 community screening at Klang Municipal Council (MPK) Multipurpose Hall in Pendamar Indah 2 here today.
Port Klang State assemblyman Azmizam Zaman Huri said the weekend gives residents the opportunity to take advantage of the free targeted screening programme organised by the state government from 9am to 4pm.
“As this programme is held on Saturday, it is hoped that this target can be achieved compared to the screening at the Pandamaran Jaya Multipurpose Hall that was conducted on weekdays.

"People, especially those around Port Klang, are advised to attend it as an effort to curb the spread of Covid-19," he said here today.
The screening process using the Antigen Rapid Test Kit (RTK-Ag)is conducted by 35 Selcare Clinic health workers and assisted by the Islamic Medical Association of Malaysia’s Response and Relief Team (Imaret).
The screening location is monitored by MPK enforcers, police and the Malaysian Civil Defense Force (Apam) to ensure that residents that came comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Meanwhile, Azmizam reminded the residents to comply with the movement control order (MCO) ruling as the pandemic is dangerous and with everyone’s cooperation Selangor's aim for zero cases may be achieved.
The state government has allocated RM6 million to implement a free targeted screening test to curb the spread of the pandemic which is expected to benefit 50,000 people.
Today's programme was also held at the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) Hall in Section 28, Shah Alam. Those who want to come are urged to register at http://screening.selangkah.my to ensure a smoother process.
